We are very pleased to announce that the 14 - 19 Merthyr Moodle and the Merthyr Learns Moodle will be migrating from the University of Glamorgan to the Merthyr Tydfil College and the new servers that will now be used to host the Moodles.

The purpose of this workshop is to allow staff to enhance their moodle skills and explore the functionality of the moodle further in relation to supporting and enhancing the learning experience.

We are very pleased to announce that the Merthyr Learns Moodle will be upgraded to version 1.9.4 later this week. In addition to the upgrade the Merthyr Learns Moodle will have a visual makeover involving a new site theme.

We are very pleased to announce that the Merthyr Learns Moodle will be upgraded to version 1.9.3 next week. In addition to the upgrade the Merthyr Learns Moodle will have a visual makeover involving a new site theme. The upgraded Moodle will provide users and practitioners with some new and exciting tools that will further support and enhance users’ learning experience
The Merthyr Learns Moodle will be offline on Wednesday 3rd December 2008 and will be at risk of being offline on Thursday 4th December 2008.

We are currently preparing to upgrade the Merthyrlearns Moodle and give it an updated look and feel as well as some new tools. As part of that preparation we have removed course creator rights from all staff . Staff will still be able to edit and mange their courses but if they require new courses to be created in the short term then please advise them to contact me at g.
Read the rest of this topic(154 words)...The annual maintenance of the electrical supply for the main server and network rooms at the University of Glamorgan is planned for the weekend immediately after the Spring term (March 15th and 16th). Consequentially, the Merthyr Learns Moodle will be unavailable during that weekend, starting at 4:30 pm on Friday 14th and returning by 8:30am on Monday 17th. Services will remain at risk for the Monday morning and a further interruption may be necessary on Tuesday morning between 7am and 9am.
